Lisa Williams: “Junk” – as close to a home run as you can get on your first swing!

Lisa Williams has released her first solo project “Junk”, under the Carrillo Music label, after securing a Billboard Top 25 position with “Awake” in a collaborative work with Grammy nominated House legend Eddie Amador, under the same label. “Junk” includes a remix package from Hoxton Whores, The Guru Project, Lizzie Curious & Kissy Sell Out. Deep, funky, hypnotic and playful is how I can best describe this track. It is, especially for a solo debut, as close to a home run as you can get on your first swing. “Junk” brings back that swing vibe which was very popular back

La Jungla by Ralphi Rosario ft. Julissa Veloz – keep you grooving and moving!

La Jungla by Ralphi Rosario ft. Julissa Veloz is everything that you would expect from someone like Ralphi Rosario (and that is the ultimate compliment!). It is a well thought out, flawlessly mixed journey of a great dance track. In my opinion, a great progressive, house, dance song should keep you grooving and moving the whole way through – not thinking, scheming or fantasizing about rubbish, like a lot of them seem to be doing these days. The minute a dance track shifts the emphasis from your feet, it is no longer doing what it is ultimately intended to do-

Jordan Carroll: “You Know That I Know” – captures the most sustained ache or joy through a musical verse

The young Phoenix native, Jordan Carroll’s upcoming single release, “You Know That I Know,” blends the most immediate instrumental and lyrical details with an elaborate web of traditional musical roots. This body of work reaches out wide to draw in the blues, folk, rock and just about everything else, with a touch of the troubadour in it. The result is a fully realized song that takes you on an artful journey, with the highest of highs and wretched lows of love wrapped all inside its storyline – sometimes at the same time. On the surface, someone looking for a casual

Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer: “Gal SkinOut Like Fruit” – highly infectious dancehall riddims

Critics of modern dancehall are quick to point a finger at several rather large and overlying issues in the dance which signal the `changing of the times’ of dancehall. The three largest of these issues are slackness in the dancehall, the actual arguments and public disagreements between the artists and musicians themselves and lastly the obvious shift of overall violence within the music. As the roots side of the music seems to get more and more pure and back to the vibes where it originated, dancehall, at least according to the critics, has taken a turn for the worse from

Sasan Soury: “Mirage” will appeal to the masses

I’ve listened to Sasan Soury’s “Mirage” straight down several times now, and it’s pretty great. It’s highly produced and more layered than some of Sasan’s other work. The lyrics are inspired, the tune is catchy, and the blend of Eastern/Western sounds are extremely engaging and satisfying. I also very much appreciate the positive messages in the song, that runs so counter to much of the messaging in the music market these days. Sasan’s music is just so lovely and uplifting and can put anyone in a great mood. Sasan Soury comes across as the life of the party. He seems

Pat Er’son: “Don’t Cry feat. Destyn Hill” – consistently dope and entertaining!

Pat Er’son not only is he an artist, he also is a producer and author. With an upcoming LP (The Moment) and a new book called “Before I Say I Do” Pat Er’son shows off his many gifts and talents with his new project “Don’t Cry feat. Destyn Hill”. First off let me say, I really didn’t expect much from this single. I expected it to be a typical underground rap song album. Boy was I wrong! To be honest, I didn’t know much about Pat Er’son other than he has another fresh track doing the rounds, called “#Work”. I

Jae Mottie: “GreenLights:GreySkies” – strong beats and an almost magical flow!

Jae Mottie, one-half of Jacksonville, Florida based hip-hop group N.E.S. (Never Ending Struggle) is a dual threat as an MC, producer and also mixes tracks. His solo debut album “GreenLights:GreySkies” showcases all these qualities as Mottie has produced 10 of the 15 tracks himself. It takes a few listens to sink in, but on this album, Jae Mottie has pulled off a feat that rarely happens in hip-hop nowadays: he’s made a good an album that’s a masterpiece of subtlety. The lyrics, beats, and overall vibe of the “GreenLights:GreySkies” transcends genre as a whole. Each song is a day-in-a-life experience

Woren Webbe Gets You Hooked In The Emotions Of His Songs

Woren Webbe, is an Indian singer-songwriter and melody maker. At the age of 11 Webbe joined an English music choir where he got a massive opportunity to work with Indian jazz music legends like Laura Santana and Babush Santa. He started working for theatre groups, doing jingles, advertising and music scoring. In 2004 he left the music because he was more interested and focused on his studies.

During 2006 Webbe got over his broken love life, after having been inspired to write sad heartbreaking music which reflected his own situation. This changed his attitude making him more devoted to his music. In 2008 he sent his music to one of the most popular DJ’s in India, “DJ KARMA”, who was the only person playing Hiphop and R&B music in India at the time.

Woren Webbe debuted in the Asian Underground scene for his own new debut album, totalling over 1200000 views on MySpace and gaining over 120,000 fans on Facebook. Webbe reached #1 all over Asia in 2009.

I was introduced to Woren Webbe when I heard the track “Down In Love” featuring Karma. The song got my attention but I needed to hear more tracks before I decided to believe in Webbe’s project. Once I heard “You’re So Beautiful” featuring Efinxace, I knew that I would believe in it.

From beginning to end, this is quality R&B; some upbeat, some soothing, some thoughtful, some nostalgic, but all worth listening to. In general, I find it difficult to find a male vocalist who delivers melodically; with lyrics you can understand, and play around people of all ages, sex and creed. Webbe’s lyrics, tempo, and sound is also relevant to many, varied emotions and moods.

Out of the new breed of R&B singers like Chris Brown, Bobby V and Neyo etc., Woren Webbe needn’t feel inferior, he may only be lacking their wondrous production teams, but if he continues his constant growth in maturity and in his music style, he will certainly be able to take the torch from these guys sooner or later.

Woren Webbe delivers on all counts and could easily become one of the top, lasting performers in the R&B genre. He’s a soulful crooner and he gets you hooked in the emotions of his songs, like on “What About Us” performed together with Efinxcase. The tears just may fall on this one as you feel the boy’s pain. The song takes it back to the origins of R&B lyrically, pain and heartbreak and most of all, relativity.

Woren Webbe’s voice smooths over every track he does, proving to past fans and newcomers alike that he is here to stay. Listen to “Dreams” and “Don’t Walk Away” where he infuses pop melodies with rich, soulful productions. His vocal range and timbre, creates both strong emotion and sentiment for his songs.

Like many of his contemporaries, Woren Webbe seems to possess some love and respect for old-school R&B, and it shows through his solid song-writing skills and his soulful, melodious vocals. This is certainly among the best indie R&B I’ve heard in a while. Webbe is the real deal. He mixes a bit of the 80’s and 90’s R&B and Soul, with today’s modern urban sound, and it comes out sounding great.

Woren Webbe is a significant artist who certainly has a passion for music and best of all, anybody can enjoy his songs, regardless of genre, because they are truly beautiful, and that’s what music is: an art form able to motivate and uplift, with the beauty of its melody and rhythm. Few do it better than Woren Webbe!
