A Pastor Releases New Song “Peddlers of Fear”

A Pastor Releases New Song “Peddlers of Fear” – Song written by a pastor and grandfather of three, who he calls “grandpa’s girls”  As he was recently watching them for an afternoon. When he got home he turned on the news. He was struck by the contrast between their joy, live in the moment, innocence and the fear-mongering in our current culture reflected in the news. In time, of course, the pastor knew his grand-daughters would grow and change. But he’s worried how their development might be effected if such a cultural climate of fear persisted. Other questions began to

Gage Gully: “All Again” Is A Powerful Single!

Gage Gully was born in South Lake Tahoe California. After living in California for 14 years he moved to West Haven, Connecticut. While living on the east coast he worked closely with his cousin’s group The Dusted Dons. Learning hands on many tricks of the trade, a true student of the game Gully soaked up all the knowledge he could. Years later when The Dusted Dons became Slow Suicide Stimulus and got signed to a record deal, Gage was there to help and see the running of an independent label. Working with big name artists and being able to go along on tours and even perform on them.

After moving back to the west coast to pursue his own music career, Gage landed in Sacramento, California. There he formed the group Boom Bap Bullies with Tuxzdo Blakk & Rio Brown, and did numerous shows in California. After years of working the underground circuit and collaborating with artists, Gage recently got signed to All Green Everything Entertainment.

He has completed three albums so far. The third album is with Berner from the Taylor Gang, it’s yet to be named and is coming out late 2013. Gage Gully in the meantime has dropped the single and the backup video, available on Youtube, entitled “All Again” ft. Berner.

What gets lost in the usual narrow reviewing of this release is the actual superiority of this single. Gage Gully has put out something rap music hasn’t had to sink its teeth into in quite some time. Gully’s verbal delivery is pure charisma, he doesn’t just rap he spits his soul into every twisted, extraordinary, ultra-laid-back rhyme on “All Again”.

Those rap critics who cry for a break from the gangster whipping, money stacking well marketed, processed commercial hip hop will love the progressive but easy-on-the-ear versification by Gully. Gage Gully’s storytelling and lyrical-imagery is right up there with the best of them.

“All Again” is just a sample of his extraordinary verbatim and blazing cool diction. The production is classic. Its entire construction will have your head nodding from beginning to end, in a kind of hypnotic groove. Standing out is Berner’s vocal interludes and the bounding rhythm that’ll gently caress and then progressively molest your sub woofers.

If you listen with your intuitive ears open then meaning and emotion will penetrate your brain and your heart. Musically, Gully has a great ear as he nods to the past and pulls the listener up short with the aggressive phrases. Gully also has the rare ability to make himself vulnerable, unabashedly sharing his humanity. This is a powerful single that still makes me smile after days of listening to it continuously.

If you don’t have it yet well I guess you were saving the best for last. You better hurry and catch up to this, because Gage Gully & Berner will be dropping the new album soon. You don’t wanna get caught behind, still trying to soak this gem up!
