The name “Tropical House” music came about back in 2014 when Australian DJ Thomas Jack coined the phrase as a form of joke, but it caught on and gained immense popularity in 2015, forging a series of exponents since, such as Kygo, Matoma, Lost Frequencies, Seeb and Klingande. John Blake: “Your Light (Let It Shine)” ft. Elisa Polanco is a Top-Notch Single!

Embracing his life and not just enduring it, Jonathan Anthony Burkett aka John Blake the hiphop artist, has had a life of ups and downs. Miraculously making it through it all, he is now being grateful for his Father’s love and is savoring his lifetime.

Learning now that life is a challenge for many, with trials, tribulations, brutality and hatred, along with grief and manipulation, Jonathan is now writing to release his thoughts about life, after being motivated, inspired to prosper, encouraged to tolerate, uplifted, and empowered from his past.

Jonathan’s constant prayer is: “Father God, strengthen my willpower, for I have made it through battles, but I know that the war is nowhere close to being over, for me. However, I plan on standing strong throughout it all, never giving up, and believing that I will live to see brighter nights and days.”

John Blake is releasing his single “Your Light (Let It Shine)” featuring Elisa Polanco on the 1st of April.

“Your Light (Let It Shine)” is a top-notch single. If you were once enslaved to rhymes and beats that glorified the darkness and taught you about drugs, adultery, guns, pride, and everything else that leads people into being false images and into a state of disobedience to the God of love; with John Blake you can now nod to a positive attitude and outlook on life.

“Your Light (Let It Shine)” is better than my high expectations! There are many grand things here, not least the positive lyrics, the fantastic vocal hook, and the outstanding beat production. Overall This single has great style and an even better message!

I’m not sure if John Blake is on his way to being an out-an-out Christian Rapper, as some of his earlier tracks point in different directions. However this single and “Changes” is seriously on a new level and raises the bar for what Christian Rap is thought to produce. The beats and production of the songs are seriously radio quality and better than 99% of the normal beats and music you hear on the radio every day. I seriously haven’t heard rap beats this well produced for some time.

The start of “Your Light (Let It Shine)” will give you chills and the positive lyrics are deep. You probably wouldn’t be worshiping with this single just yet, but boy oh boy, if you want to open the door for someone to come on in and ponder some more, you can blast some of this (along with “Changes”) while on your ride, and it will hit a home run every time!
