The LEL Brothas are an American Hip Hop group created 2006 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The LEL Brothas officially has 2 members DJ Clone and Nytmare. Also appearing with the LEL Brothas is hype man, LEL “Step-Brotha,” CB5. In 2006 they were singed to JWM Records by Wade Martin and released their first album titled “Fresh out the Root,” in 2007. In 2009 the LEL Brothas went Independent and created their own parent production company “LEL Nation.”

lel-brothas-profile1During their career LEL has performed all over the globe including, the USA, Bahrain, Jordan, UAE, Ireland, England, Japan, Brazil, Spain and made music history with their 2011 performance in Saudi Arabia. The LEL Brothas were the first American Hip hop group to EVER perform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the local populous, and were subsequently named “Ambassadors of the American Music Culture” by US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, James Smith. Since 2011 the LEL Brothas have had repeat sellout tours to the Middle East in 2013 and 2014. These tours were made possible, in part, by their Middle Eastern partner “Out of Home Advertising” with Issa Makhamreh.

In 2011 the LEL Brothas hit song “Hatas” off their second album “The Epidemic,” released in 2010, was placed on the block buster video game “Rock Band 3.” Even though the LEL Brothas went Independent in 2009, their work with Super Producer Wade Martin (WadeMartinStudios.com) still continued through “The Epidemic” and continues with their current project and third album titled “Pandemic;” scheduled for release in late 2014.

In 2012 the LEL Brothas brought on a new official DJ, DJ Unknown. DJ Unknown, originally from New York, is not only a successful DJ, but runs a placement Agency. His agency assists both unsigned and signed artists with major placements on national/international tours through ArtistAuditions.com with A-list celebrities.

In June of 2014 the LEL Brothas with DJ Unknown, headlined the Youbloom music festival in Dublin Ireland. While in Ireland the LEL Brothas filmed the official music video titled “Mr. My Way” in Cork. Portions of the video were shot in Blackrock Castle, which was built in the early 1600’s. The video was shot by one of the top production companies in the UK, let alone Ireland, Epic Productions.

The highly acclaimed Director, Chris Cullen and accomplished Cinematographer, Justin MacCarthy were the masterminds behind the video. Also assisting with the storyline of the video were DJ Clone and Andrew Hoar. There are many rumors regarding the secretive release of this video including both MTV and Worldstar Hiphop. This highly anticipated release is generating a lot of noise about the LEL Brothas.

Since the LEL Brothas teamed up with CB5 in 2007 they have also been working with Frank Leupold, executive producer of Pasturegate Productions. Frank Leupold has been shooting a documentary on CB5 since the early 2000’s and started shooting a documentary on the LEL Brothas in 2007 till present. The LEL Brothas documentary is scheduled for release in 2015 and is already creating buzz among the film festival community’s.

In June of 2014 the LEL Brothas released the first single off of their third album, “Pandemic,” titled “Last Call.” This single is a tribute to the “Granite Mountain Hotshots.” 19 brave men who died on June 30th 2013 in the devastating fire in Yarnell, Arizona. What made this song hit close to home for the LEL Brothas, is the fact that their front man DJ Clone, was previously a “Prescott Hotshot” and fought fires with many of the 19 who perished.

Within the first 48 hours of release of the “Last Call” tribute video a rapid 15,000 plays were racked up via Youtube . Due to the fact of the video going viral “Last Call” received radio play within Arizona. “Last Call” also features a chorus performed by Kela Jae, a 13 year old country singer from Prescott, Arizona.
