Composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer. Christopher Rapkin is many things, including founding member of Digital Composers Guild, and a music industry consultant. During September Rapkin released his 10 track heavy guitar album, entitled “Focus In”. Listening to Rapkin on this album it also becomes clear that he could be known as a great guitar virtuoso and a perfectionist. Christopher is the guitarist who sings and he does it quite well, in my opinion even better than Steve Vai. Also he is a good composer, all of his albums are full of songs of different styles. So he’s the man

Timothy Dark: “Comfortably Numb” Featuring Lisa Gray

The creative Bronx Rapper, Timothy Dark has dropped his track, “Comfortably Numb” featuring the beautiful female vocals provided by Lisa Gary. You will not believe the emotion this song invokes; not only lyrically, but musically as well. The opening bars put you in the mood and pull you into Timothy and Lisa’s world.

I must say that this Timothy Dark has a tremendous future in music. The music is tasteful and melodic, not to mention extremely hummable.  I was impressed, songs like “Comfortably Numb” shows everybody that Dark really knows how to do music, as you get the urge to play the track over and over again

Timothy Dark has the gift that so many of our great artists of word have, which is the ability to pack as many different meanings and complex thoughts into as few simple words as possible. Lyrically rich, catchy, and intense with a beautifully uplifting hook sung by Lisa Gary, “Comfortably Numb” serves as a perfect prelude to the powerful lyricism and songs to come in future works by Dark.

From a purely artistic standpoint, Timothy Dark’s work is polished and intriguing with outstanding production values, but it’s ultimately Dark’s incredible melodic rhymes and storytelling abilities that could turn the lamest beat into a classic song.

Throughout, Lisa Gray is nearly as evocative as Timothy Dark’s raps, and together with solid bass lines, crashing drums, slight sound effects, and a spacious soundscape, they set about creating some powerful hooks that just keep drawing the listener in!

“Comfortably Numb” is truly mesmerizing stuff!
