Monjyoti – “Neighbor Syndrome” is meticulously structured

Monjyoti Bhattacharyya known by his stage name, Monjyoti, released his second official single “Neighbor Syndrome”, taken from his upcoming album, “Hypnosis”, recorded in collaboration with music producer Papu Gogoi. I don’t even need to hear the rest of the album. This single is simply a dexterous, dynamic and sublime smorgasbord of instrumentation and lyrical canny, on a level I’ve not heard in a long time. Music can’t always be this good because we would have nothing by which to benchmark its ingenuity. There are sections that are nice mellow journeys to somewhere else and there are downright monstrous sections that

Omar Bowing – “Paradox” – is simply breathtaking in its composition and emotive power

Atmospheric, ethereal, moody, dark, progressive … these are all words that come to mind listening to the opening bars of “Paradox” – the latest track from Omar Bowing, featuring singer Tyson Yen. The music is as one would expect from this consummate composer and Guitarviol player – engulfing and entrancing. Using a whole host of rock driven instrumentation, it should not be surprising that the soundscape is lush, expansive and blasting. “The idea of the song,” explains Bowing, “is about the recognition of the power of a Paradox to challenge or even destroy a concept, idea, belief, etc., that is

The emerging young rapper introduces himself to the world with a confrontational, attention-grabbing track. One of the most exciting young voices emerging on the international scene, Morish is ready to make himself known, and his debut single “Better Than Me,” is the perfect introduction to the young artist. “You will never find nobody better than me,” Morish repeats throughout the song. Twenty three year old Brandon Nelson aka K Swayz, has been producing for about 8 years now, while he’s been an artist for a one year. The Charleston, SC creative is currently promoting his 11 track project, entitled, “1st Born”. Since this album is meant as an embodiment of the artist’s skillset, it only makes sense that he shows a lot of flexibility. He delivers a lot more than the obvious slide between rapping to singing and juxtaposition of up-tempo vibes and down-tempo tunes. Right from the opening track, “No Matter The Cost” ft. Colossal Capone, he drops mind-blowing switches

YellaCatt – “Super Power Pussy” – exudes an energy that is captivating

YellaCatt’s latest single debut album “Super Power Pussy”. Introduces one of the finest new female talents I’ve heard in a long time. I say new, because she’s new to me. ‘She’ is of course none other than Daniella White aka YellaCatt. A painter who has created her own successful headdress atelier – “The Plumed Serpent’’. Daniella is also sound healer, reiki master, and clairvoyant. So she wears many hats, which all seem to fit her perfectly well. Her approach to song writing is fresh and intelligent, while her performances exude an energy that is captivating. I’m not sure if she

Ozaka Bondage is an energizing indie-electro-pop band from Frankfurt on Main that will motivate you to climb that mountain, ask that girl out, or start that revolution you always wanted. They is nothing short of a bombastic bunch of talented musicians who smoke on their instruments like no one’s business. The accompanying video clip proves it with nothing hidden from view. The groove is infectious, the musicianship is on fire, and the audio mix sparkles. “Tiny Giants” hits all the right buttons for me. Peaks and valleys in all the right places – even in the solos. Everything builds

Robert D. Montgomery – If you enjoy the purity of real instruments this is for you

Singer- Songwriter Robert D. Montgomery is from San Diego, CA. He has just dropped out of nowhere with 3 singles to tantalize our ears. Embodying the sensual, romantic cool at the crossroads of contemporary jazz together with old school R&B and Soul, Montgomery gets his dreamy vibe and slow groove on while showcasing some serious songwriting chops. He works his shimmering vocal magic and acoustic-guitar strumming on the lush singles “Without You,”  “All I Want Is You” and the finger snapping “Kim K” which is obviously about Kim Kardashian. When you want smooth candlelit vocals and a little inspiration, there’s not a better man than Robert D. Montgomery.  If you’ve had enough of computer generated “music” and enjoy the purity of real instruments and great vocals, this is for you.

All the tracks have an easy-grooving, mid tempo, melodic soul attitude about it. The spaces between the old and new is crossed and blended well within the songs. Here you’ll discover the sultry uniqueness of Montgomery’s laid-back guitar sounds. His honesty and unassuming passion is also evident the more you listen. He promises to be a staple in unpretentious romantic orientated music for years to come. Hear it for yourself; don’t just take my word for it.

The whole set is such a smooth ride.  It’s easy on the ears and gets you in an uplifted frame of mind. Nowadays it’s no longer a common occurrence for artists to produce quality music. Today they can guarantee themselves platinum status simply by making an erotic video and bragging about their cars and girls. Now Robert D. Montgomery steps up to the plate and resurrects the jazzy soulful sounds of the past like a seasoned veteran -without the hype, without the soft-porn videos and without the electronic wizardry.

Montgomery proves that you can entertain and sing G-rated material without putting your listeners to sleep. This brotha sings from the depths of his soul and unleashes feeling and emotion in an almost nonchalant way. With all the trash and studio-engineered artistry on the radio and in record stores today, these songs are just a few more reasons why he is going to be a singer-songwriter to be reckoned with.

Montgomery knows about romance and all the issues that come with it (pain, drama, truth, honesty, love, lies – you know all the rest). Well, at least he sings a good game about all of it. Montgomery’s almost gospel-tinged voice delivers many truths. There are no tricks here to make his voice sound like something it is not either. The vocals are raw and the lyrics are mature.

It appears Robert D. Montgomery is on a mission to do the right thing in a love relationship.  Listening to his songs, especially “All I Want Is You” it becomes clear that his woman is fortunate to have a man that dedicates such a deep soul searching celebration to her. I’m not going to say too much but if you are a guy who has been through anything involving women you will swear that Montgomery has been watching your life and writing about it. He has clearly been through many of the same thing we deal with every day in our relationships with women.

Honesty and love, both in music and in life, are two hard things to come by, even separately nowadays, but Robert D. Montgomery managed to get them joined at the hip on these tracks!
