There are many tracks on this album that are so melodically enchanting to the ear, that they strongly lean toward the Power Pop genre, an idiom that perfectly lends itself to any radio, mainstream or otherwise. The fact that you haven’t heard anything off this album on your local radio station shows the usual flaw in the way programmers choose what they play today.

JoyFocus has packaged into “Random Access Digital Audio Heresy” a collection of infectious highly likeable rock tunes that will affect you somehow – whether it makes you tap your toe, sway your body or just get lost into the depths of those far-reaching vocals or power chords. They fuse hard-hitting rock with intelligent lyrics and catchy melodies, delivering ear-candy that touches the heart and soul.

Each track on “Random Access Digital Audio Heresy” has a simple one-word title. But the moment “Retreat” gets things off to start, you quickly realize that’s the only ‘simple’ thing about this music. Not the album is pompously over-complex it’s just that the arrangements have substance and depth, both lyrically and musically – enough to capture your attention over and above the delicious melodies.

JoyFocus-coverFm Radio programmers may want to start short-listing the following potential hit-tracks: “Gone”, “Words”, “Clearly” and “Home”. Alternate and College radio stations, just grab the rest of the tracks, especially “Revolution” and “Break”! The song writing is great and you’ll love the mixture of heavy guitars and melodic singing.

The obstacles and many years invested have prepared JoyFocus to keep its head grounded and to continue to make music that inspires, mends, and revitalizes. Rikk and Holly write songs that people can feel, make records that are universal enough to stand the test of time, and stay genuine and honest in their quest. “Random Access Digital Audio Heresy” brings listeners right up to the edge of their core rock sound -catchy, upbeat, melodic and relevant!
