Jamie Suttle captures something unique in her songs that cross into diverse styles and genres

Kentucky born singer-songwriter Jamie Suttle’s seeds of inspiration were planted at a young age while singing in her church. As she grew, it flourished under the sweltering heat of soul, R & B, and rock, all the while being suffused with gospel and classic country music.

Shedding all the threads of any banjo and steel twang you might expect, on “Flame” Jamie puts on her rock persona, and takes us down the gritty dirt road of driving guitars and intensely heartfelt vocals. She is blessed with an incredible voice, which she uses to full effect on this track. To be honest everything about her voice, singing, music and videos has impressed me.

What I also really love about Jamie Suttle as much as her music, is her vocal range and sexy rasp. She can raise what may sound like a humdrum lyric into something with deeper meaning with just a switch in her tone. Something she does to full effect on “Cash, Jack and Jesus”. To say that she rocks, is an understatement. The dark, brooding, shadowy landscape that Jamie paints on “Burn Like Whiskey” fits so well that it creates an aura of great intensity.

The musical arrangements on Jamie’s tracks make it a perfect match to the raw crunch of guitars, supplied by hubby Chris Suttle, whose blues-infused electric six-string can rock with the best of them. Nothing these two do is middle of the road. On every track they throw themselves in at the deep end and deliver everything as promised. You will be in for some real emotional treats here.

Jamie Suttle connects to a wide audience with the messages in her songs, strong instrumental backing, as well as a radio friendly style. Also her singing style adds a great deal of color to her tracks. She has a strong blues-rock infused voice which she is loaded with spunk and style.
