Kidd Cocø: “There” easily captives the listener’s attention

The name “Tropical House” music came about back in 2014 when Australian DJ Thomas Jack coined the phrase as a form of joke, but it caught on and gained immense popularity in 2015, forging a series of exponents since, such as Kygo, Matoma, Lost Frequencies, Seeb and Klingande. Stan-X: “FAME” – the adrenaline bass drops will make your nether regions grow wings and fly!

Stan-X is a French music crew on the TESSITURES RECORD labels, who started out one year ago and have quickly been building a strong following on Soundcloud.  Their 6 track “FAME” EP explores a variety of genres like dubstep, drum n bass, drumstep, techno and glitchhop.

Stan-X-300A warming element about “FAME” is that it channels influences not only from all over the place. The music is positive, upbeat, and original where all 6 songs could be anthems. The EP delivers music like nothing you’ve heard before and there’s a lot of it. From beginning to end l didn’t skip one song nor did I want to.

On all 6 tracks, Stan-X trippy samples, grinding basses and galactic sounds will hypnotize you. Right out the gate with “Time” your mind can drift away. It’s a cinematic introduction that lulls your senses before other upcoming songs put you fully under its spell.

“FAME” takes you along a musical journey of climatic builds and wicked bass drops. Then before you know it, Stan-X melts your mind. Dubstep, like most genres, is an acquired taste, and can become repetitive with the usual “build up then bass drop” standard. Not so with Stan-X, as they unload the bass all over your face.

Stan-X-LogoThe orgasmic ear candy continues with songs like “Bass Bomb Droppin”, “Get Crank” and “Bass in Your Face”. Shit gets real on these tracks as the adrenaline bass drops will make your nether regions grow wings and fly. Rounding off this EP are the cinematic “Dragons” and scary “Zulu Zombies”.

Stan-X-300bIt is strongly recommended that you hug your speakers while listening, put your face right near them and feel it melt! Stan-X brings the bass power, energy, and hooks on this EP from beginning to end. Furthermore, the songs don’t seem like filler, as they don’t feel dragged out.

For the bass heads, this captivating compilation of tracks can put you in a good mood on any day where you feel your music soul needs to be touched by something greater. This high energy EP is a must listen to, whether you’re looking to maximize your in-music event experience or whether you’re just a lover of hearing “the drop,” where you lose yourself in your own imagination.

Stan-X brings a well above-average effort on this album, through booming bangers fused with dubstep, and mixing in drum n bass, drumstep, techno and glitchhop, as they shows us their impressive talent for mixing EDM genres. Listen to the “FAME” EP over and over again during an all-night session with your friends until the coming of a new dawn; then lather, rinse, repeat. You won’t get tired of these stimulating and pristine bass dominated tracks!
