The new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) poses an unprecedented challenge to governments worldwide. Within three months, the virus has traveled in a borderless world, and challenged public and private health systems in more than 196 countries, leading the World Health Organization to declare a global pandemic. As a highly contagious virus, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to skyrocketing numbers of death and contaminations, imposing simultaneous massive public health campaign such as social isolation. Furthermore, government approaches to tackle the pandemic and their effectiveness seems to significantly vary. Although we do not know the answer yet and this may change in the

FCAF’s self-titled debut album is a meld of different styles of alternative rock, occasionally slipping into Southern Rock, Beat Jazz and Power Pop while still holding a distinct and original sound. Filled with songs that are melody infused, this album swings from nostalgic to down and dirty, paying homage to classic rock albums of the past. Forest City & Friends self-titled album hits all the spots of your

Las Vegas Hip-Hop duo ALVMNII continues to provide real lyricism and truth on their single “NEW WORLD ORDER” produced by Kato On The Track. Check out the music video and follow them on social media! ALVMNII are extremely talented lyricists; clever rhymes, technically sound, intensely intelligent and witty. Add this to the fact that the track slaps, and you are in for a rousing eargasm reminiscent of that classic 90’s sound that so many people bitch and moan about missing and saying that it’s nonexistent. It’s there you just have to dig a bit deeper than you used to.

Pete Vagabond – “Without You” (feat. Kireina Michan) – effortless expanding synths and elegant uplifting vocals

Using an assortment of DAWs since childhood, Pete Vagabond has been making music for many years. Only recently did he decide to share my music. Inspired by what’s trending, combined with the sound of the 90’s, Vagabond makes electronic music, mostly with a definite progressive house twist. His latest single is “Without You” (feat. Kireina Michan). With an element old school candor, the best part of Pete Vagabond’s production is its uncanny ability to grow on you, stick in your head and stay there to the point that you just might find yourself humming the melody or bassline in the

On “Variations” June O owns his style and the environment he thrusts the listener into

June O aka Michael O’Connor, is a 17 year old Colombian/American from Texas. By shining light on his artistic prowess, his EP project “Variations” allows the performer to prove himself as both a singer and rapper. Here he provides various musical experiences for listeners as he moves from rap to rock soundscapes. The presence of these stylistic changes on the EP makes a statement that features and

MINOH – “The Witness” – The grit-filled production is near flawless

Jamin Oh (guitar, vocals) and Frank Strozyk (drums) first met in the 5th grade. They then played together in a metal hardcore band called The Bierfront. Twenty years later, the Korean classical guitarist and the German geology professor met again and started to write songs as a side project which in 2019 officially became MINOH. The Asian progressive post-rock duo are currently working on their debut EP, set for release in October 2020. In the meantime they have dropped the stunning single and accompanying video, “The Witness”, which addresses the increasingly dystopian state of the world. MINOH is anything but

Strangers Of Necessity – “Abundance” – dripping with jazzy soul!

Every once in a while, there comes a track that arrives out of the left field and takes people by surprise. One that can prematurely declared an instant classic and actually lives up to the title. I love all types of music, but my taste is irrelevant. What is relevant is the fact that the single, “Abundance” by Midwest duo Strangers Of Necessity, will be considered great years from now. The track speaks to a generation of people struggling to prosper and find harmony, in a confusing, stressful modern environment. The duo bring forth their mindset and experiences, with immaculate flow

Creamatic: “Ataraxia” unabashedly expresses his ideas and emotions

Born and raised in Houston Texas, Creamatic has been involved with music since elementary – from band, to choir and now writing rhymes. Since the drop of his EP “Ataraxia”, people have been slowly sitting up and taking notice of him. The 6-track recording was inspired from the past, depression, anger and striving for hope. The inspirations to Creamatic’s music potential are Kanye West, Nas, Jay Z, Scarface and Joey Bada$$.

Fiercely aware of his environment, Creamatic is preparing to go toe-to-toe with the greats, as he displays an inquiring mind across the release. Creamatic is a whiplash quick-minded rapper, occasionally so clever you’re doing double-takes to his quips.

Creamatic

Creamatic

At times he sounds bare and wounded and at others his loud and proud. So yes, he is conflicted, but that is what adds realness to his performances. His songs are realistic (telling a story) to me, compared to what other artists are rapping about. I feel like if you can relate to some of his stories in these songs or comprehend his lyrics, you’re not going thoroughly adore the EP.

Creamatic steps up and shows the world that you can rap about something of substance and not have to settle for mediocre wordplay. There is variety to each song, which is supported by his lyrics and the production, shared between 5 different producers.

The amazing thing is that the cohesiveness of the recording is completely maintained regardless of it having 6 songs produced by 5 different beat-makers. This is due to the fact that Creamatic’s persona and charisma substantially overrides the production to the extent of it being able to hold the Ep together as one compact entity.

Creamatic also sets a precedent for the sort of openness and honesty he brings to the Ep. This quality not only shines through his rhymes but also in his flow. Lyrically gifted, his themes are real, and he is transparent about himself right from the opening track “Only Way Out (Prod by Baker Yung)” and especially on Vibe$ [Prod by KayLib]”.

Creamatic shines in that he unabashedly expresses his ideas and emotions with well-thought lyrics, metaphors, and rhymes. With some of his most introspective statements on “Another Day ll (Prod by AzBeats)”, I’ve found myself pondering similar musings.

Creamatic’s thought processes and perception of things are interesting, showing the mind of an observant and brilliant young artist. Truth can be told that “Ataraxia” is pure excellence. Nothing is lacking. Lyrics, beats, arrangement, mix….its 100% pure quality.

And the best thing is, going into the Ep, this result was totally unexpected. Listening to Creamatic’s bittersweet narratives about his life and surroundings, you will be inspired and driven to do everything that makes you happy in your life.
