K Buzz – “Henny-Ting Goes” brings pure sunshine!

K Buzz (pronounced as K Buzz) is a multi-talented artist based in the United Kingdom with a global fan reach. A Bachelor’s degree holder in automotive engineering, the artist of Nigerian heritage, started out writing poetry, before spreading his wings into music, where he blended Afrobeats, RnB and Hip-Hop into his own personal fusion. He released his first EP, “Power of love” in October 2008, and has just dropped his latest work – the single “Henny-Ting Goes”, which features the multi-award-winning Nigerian artist and originator of the Zanku movement, Zlatan Ibile. “I welcome the opportunity to share this new single as well as a longtime favorite with my audiences around the world,” said K Buzz, on its release.

Zlatan believes in creating music that is accessible to everyone, that inspires consciousness, freedom of thought and freedom of creation. He has worked with the best talent in the recording industry, and is never easy to please.

Yet he stated that “K Buzz has a dynamic voice and a style of his own! Anyone who loves good music is going to love K Buzz’s music!”

We couldn’t agree more after pressing play on the sound system. Afrobeats has made inroads at the world’s largest music labels. In the past few years, Sony and Universal Music have both signed up several Afrobeats stars to publishing and distribution deals. And it isn’t just the audience that are loving the sound; world-famous music stars want in on Afrobeats too.

So as the global rise of Afrobeats becomes a fascinating cultural trend, the local opportunity remains too big to be ignored. And as K Buzz climbs on board, he gives us his own personal twist of an ever-growing genre on “Henny-Ting Goes” ft. Zlatan.

The elegant production sets the stage for K Buzz to exude confidence, and bring pure sunshine to the UK streets. The hip-winding track is largely driven by rhythm, and rhythm is arguably the most universal element of music, thus giving the track an easy accessibility.

K Buzz meshes his vocals with the instrumentation to create something not often heard in urban music. He creates an intense atmosphere that drops jaws with its energy.

Even in a summer that has been crowded with more marquee hip-hop releases than any in recent memory, “Henny-Ting Goes” stands out for its kaleidoscope production of textures and techniques.

K Buzz has plenty of charisma and star-wattage, he’s a smart lyricist, and his singsong delivery is instantly recognizable. Furthermore he has a compelling story. Add in his impeccable taste and unerring musical instincts on “Henny-Ting Goes”, and you have a track tied together by a ruthless momentum that rarely comes across as hurried or frantic.

K Buzz’s ability to synthesize so many different sounds and styles into such a cohesive, appealing work is nothing to sneeze at. He definitely has a strong presence on the record, having captured the height of his artistic capabilities on this project. K Buzz offers the best of himself as both a vocalist and a songwriter. He really brought his A Game on “Henny-Ting Goes”.    RATING 10/10
