Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, Devyn Rose began her love of music at a very young age singing in a church choir. By the time she was 16, she moved to Bridgeport, CT and began taking dance lessons at Broadway Dance Center. Some years later she was discovered by multi-platinum producer Dame Grease during a BMI Open Mic.

Over the last few years, she has been working diligently to perfect a sound that she is thrilled to call “her own”. Having been fortunate enough to work behind the scenes with Hip-Hop artists such as 3 6 Mafia, N.O.R.E., KURUPT, Mims, Jae Millz, French Montana, Chinx Drugz, Max B, Mike Shore, and Royce Da 59, she has been able to develop an eccentric new generation mix of pop, R&B, alternative, and hip hop genres.

Her new style signifies edgy, sexy with an attitude, beat driven and loud, which has evolved into the Devyn Rose sound. It’s a sound that she not only feels passionate about, but also feels that her fans will be able to most connect with.

To aptly close off 2013, Devyn has released the single and supporting video, “Home for the Holidays”. Join Devyn as she celebrates the holiday season with her family in the music video. The video is directed by Video Vixon and is now live on VEVO. The single “Home for the Holidays”, produced by Diamond Style, is also available on iTunes.

Devyn has always come up with something different, funky, hip-hop, pop, dance and lyrically enlightening on each of her releases. Now she has charged it up big time to honor the holiday season this year, with her own take on Christmas!

“Home for the Holidays” should certainly be in high rotation during the holidays. The music and Devyn’s voice is great. She gets better and better and I’m so happy that she continues to challenge herself. Her range and control during her vocal deliveries is a blessing, and she repeats herself here again.

Given the sea of musical drivel that floods the marketplace annually, during the festive season, it’s hard to get terribly ramped-up about yet another Christmas song. However, “Home for the Holidays” is a true gem; one that easily will appeal to Devyn’s hipster audience and traditionalists alike. It’s fun, its upbeat and totally listener friendly!

You should certainly add this single and video to your list of favorites, Devyn Rose really knows how to make the spirit brighter!
