The unforgettable ambient sounds of Sue G. Wilkinson and Michael Cady (Cypress South) are trance-like and highly melodic, powered by breathtaking vocals that can only be categorized as one of a kind. Blessed with an “amazing vocal range,” Sue has not only the power to blow down a brick house, but a jaw dropping sense of versatility and emotional capacity. Classically trained, she has been described by veterans of the music business as “dripping with talent.”
Michael Cady joins Sue live, using a powerful looping station and a 7 string bass he designed and commissioned! Truly a tour de force! Sue’s musical life with bassists is a lucky one indeed. Some of the songs you might hear her play were co-written with Patrick O’Hearn who is currently the producer and bassist for John Hiatt. And last but not least, Michael O’Bannon lends his striking imagery to many of Cypress South’s live shows and work at planetariums. Private House Concerts are yet another way to experience Cypress South. An awesome opportunity for fellowship and a special way to entertain and feed peoples souls you’ll walk away from Cypress South’s performance feeling like you’ve been on a unique journey.
