A progressive house and dance music trio, consisting of musicians-producers, Rocco DiVinci, St John and Lord Fisher. The group officially formed in 2014 after working together on several remixes for SFN RECORDS. House of Pryme turns out uptempo, electro-house dance tracks layered with saw-cutting synths, contemporary lyrics and powerful melodies set against a 21st century disco beat.
House Of Pryme’s latest offering “I’m Your Doll” draws influences from classic cult horror and film-noir eras. In fact the video in support of the new single stars an old-time actress named SHINE, who decidedly adds the perfect scary, film-noir characterization to the footage.
If this track doesn’t give your soul a little bounce when you throw it on then find a new genre of music to listen to. These guys rock, and then the vocal interludes, laughs, whispers, teases and taunts by Bri Rose totally knocks it out of the park. “I’m Your Doll” is a slamtastic track that has only the pure, hard-hitting, kick-ass music that House of Pryme is known for. And after listening to it a few times, you’ll grow to love its chilling musical transgression.
This double-track single, is not only fun to listen to, but is a well-engineered audio masterpiece. Initially I enjoyed it from the ‘listener’ standpoint, but soon realized it serves as a master class in mixing and audio production. Even if you don’t like the style of music, you will get something out of House of Pryme!
Both the “Radio Edit” and the “Original Version” just penetrates you to the bone. If you’re on the fence about buying “I’m Your Doll”, don’t sweat it, take the plunge and buy it. These guys are all over the place in terms of musical styles and backgrounds, hence their strong appeal. This House of Pryme tune makes a great soundtrack for working out to or intense dance sessions.
Their work here feels just like listening to the climax of a thrilling suspense movie…both playful and scary as hell. Bottom line – this is an incredibly well produced electronic track that you need to own if you like this genre even a little bit!
