Àrèmúorin – Anthony Everest: ‘Kiss Me Baby’ – Reloaded – if you need something to soothe your soul

The much anticipated 15-track mixtape, from Àrèmúorin – Anthony Everest , titled ‘Kiss Me Baby’ – Reloaded, dropped on Valentine’s Day this year.  This time around the mixtape has been filtered down through a process of addition and elimination, and focuses on being a satisfying musical indulgence for lovers. The tracks go from a sultry touch of a Billie Holliday, Jazz Ballad of ‘Say It’ – written by Àrèmúorin & Anders Rye into a memory trip, down the lane of previous works, written by Àrèmúorin like Groomed For Stardom and Emptiness.

Man, I’ve been a  Àrèmúorin – Anthony Everest fan since I first heard about him in 2013. He ranks up there with Sade. His music is soft and relaxing. It’s music that fits any mood. It can make you feel in love, cry, happy, sad, etc. Àrèmúorin has songs and lyrics that can fit all occasions and especially for helping you express undying love for someone. All of the songs in ‘Kiss Me Baby’ – Reloaded are a true testament to this guy’s talent. Outstanding tracks are “Real Love”, “Follow Your Dreams”, “Wasted”, “You Call Me Baby”,   and definitely the very underrated “Your Love.” 

Àrèmúorin’s voice has a gorgeous soulful sound to it. He can make you weak at the knees with not only his voice, but the lyrics too. And both are very much in the forefront here, as the backing music is contained to the absolute minimum required.  So that each and every song listed is a gift from a man who knows what it takes to make an album work by using his voice and talent to bring music and emotion to a level that very few artists can achieve.

‘Kiss Me Baby’ – Reloaded is great because it takes you through a time capsule of Àrèmúorin – Anthony Everest music. If you’re passionate about romance, need something to soothe your soul, or need something to get you in the mood, oh…and if you simply love Àrèmúorin, this is a great buy. No matter how many times you hear this album, you will never tire of it. It’s just plain cool!

Àrèmúorin knows what real music is. His songs signify what a great writer he is. In a time when there are tons of soul singers that believe in screeching through songs, Àrèmúorin seems to combine power, passion and beauty in every note he sings. And what a joy that is to listen to….again and again and again. And that’s what I seem to be doing. I just can’t stop playing this album! Kudos to Àrèmúorin – Anthony Everest  for another job well done.
