Dechard: “Balloons” – pulsating energy and inventive freedom!

Dechard the young producer, Dj and sound designer born and raised in Italy with Belgian origins is on a roll as he works on some brand new music for release in 2016. In the meantime we look back to his previous release, the 6-track Electro-House EP, entitled “Balloons”.

This 2014 collection from Dechard has been on a music tirade. From the inspiring  bounce tune “We’re Not Alone,” to “Ballons”, “July”, “Star 2.0”, “One Night In Sweden” and the minimal closing track “I Got A Ring,” Dechard’s songs are ready to stretch across the globe and plant themselves permanently into speakers everywhere.  All the songs on the EP are really beat-blasting, dance-moving, and addictive.

dechard-balloons-profileThis album marks a small but significant change in the dance music sound. It’s got the same pulsating energy, the same inventive freedom, and the same unclassifiable creativity to it, but there is also a constant and unbroken vein of contemplative introspection to nearly every song. Dechard is not afraid to make music that you can move to, but this is a batch of songs that is obviously meant to be moving in a lot of other ways too: emotionally, mentally, and maybe even spiritually.

“Balloons” has spacy atmospherics, lush undertones and busy backdrops, all the while maintaining a thumping, propulsive momentum. You can dance to it furiously, or you can just sit back and listen to it with nothing else going on in the house and it can be a great experience. Not that many other producers / DJs can replicate this kind of vibe because they really can’t master the kind of sounds that Dechard has done over his brief but intense career so far. The  EDM sound is becoming stagnant and predictable and you need artists and Ep’s like this to keep it fresh and relevant.

More About: Riccardo Di Benedetto b.k.a. Dechard began his experience in the music world at the age of 16, he began performing in a club in his hometown and has evolved his performance at many stages, djing around his country. He built his own studio and after years of studying sound engineering at Essex University and working on different projects, he landed a great deal and released an official remix for the singer and musician Alex Vargas (EMI UK), just rearranging the single “Lie” (2012) with Jeroosalem. He released remixes for artists and bands such as Kinqueen, EDX, Bob Sinclar, Phaze Project and many others. After experiencing the European scene Dechard wanted to take his art a step further and moved to Los Angeles. A few months after his move he created a soundtrack on purpose for the TV series ‘Dos Lunas’, broadcast on Fox TV. 2014 had been a very busy year for him, after releasing two EPs “Three Gems” & “Balloons” he started collaboration as a producer/composer with the Italian label, Irma Records. He also produced an album for the upcoming rising star Sabrina Petrini (Universal Music Group / B.A.M. Records).
