Relli Rok Omega has recently put out his first single, “You on Me”, with SOM Music/Sony, distributed by The Orchard. Shane Shoaf better known by his stage name Relli Rok Omega was born on the campus of UCLA medical center and was introduced to the music industry at a very young age. Originally known in the industry for singing background vocals for a Quincy Jones produced track, for R&B act Tevin Campbell, Relli Rok Omega, also under the actor alias of Esquirre, has finally made his transition back to the music world with “You on Me”.
Relli Rok Omega is back and I gotta say that I am digging it. On “You on Me” you can hear that he is busy working towards being considered a driving force in West Coast music. Relli Rok Omega delivers his comeback single proving once again his true skill and artistic independence.
Relli Rok Omega is the real deal, he’s obviously been through a lot in his career, and it shows in his lyrics. They actually have emotion in them, rather than just a bunch of clever lines crammed together. This single is a refreshing change of pace; no one else in the rap game has the same style that can be heard here.
“You on Me” clearly shows Relli Rok Omega’s transition from a back ground lackey to a bonafide shining light in the dark and dim world of the dying state of hip hop. If Relli Rok Omega keeps a variety of producers on his list to use he’ll outlast many of these other knuckleheads out there right now. From the intro to the outro there is never a dull moment.
Relli Rok Omega spits fire in a unique syncopated flow. He is painting pictures that the listeners can actually visualize in their minds. Not to ramble on and on with this but if you are a fan of Hip-Hop music, go out and get “You on Me”. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
