The SLVR Tongues Drops Brand New Single – Johnny Cash

The SLVR Tongues met at a Western bar on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California. It all started when Hannah Huntley decided to sing some super drunk karaoke one night, and James Lynch realized that, though heavily intoxicated, Hannah actually had some pipes on her. The two began writing soon after. Feeling the need for an extra instrumental punch, the band recruited Peter Erik as the lead guitarist and third member of The SLVR Tongues.

The song “Johnny Cash” was actually only the second song that The SLVR Tongues ever wrote together. The song is meant to capture the aftermath of just another night in the life of The SLVR Tongues on the gritty, glitzy, Hollywood streets. Johnny Cash lived his earlier life as a true maverick, and the song is an homage to his lifestyle, and to The SLVR Tongues’ idea of the American Spirit as a whole.

Teaming up with Top 40 Billboard charting producer, Jordan Richman (wrote and produced the international hit “Boomerang” by JoJo Siwa, and is a two time International Songwriting Competition winner), the SLVR Tongues continued to write and develop their sound.

After being discovered by Preston Sullivan, the band signed a management contract with Sullivan’s Nashville based company, Global Eyes Entertainment, and relocated to Tennessee.

Once established in Nashville, The SLVR Tongues immediately immersed themselves in its vibrant music scene, and began co-writing with other artists, most notably RIAA certified Gold recording artist, Danny Worsnop (We are Harlot/Ex-Asking Alexandria).

As The SLVR Tongues continue their music exploration, their goal is to capture their stories, memories and adventures of living life to the fullest, whether in L.A., Nashville, or over seas. No matter if their in love, broken, drunk, or pissed off, you’d better believe you’re gonna hear about it.
