“Inspired by Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, and their influences in Americana, I write music that comes from personal hardship and overcoming challenges in my mental health. My music is about romantic love, mental illness, spirituality and taking responsibility in my life. I sing songs you’ll relate to, that boost your mood and get the endorphins flowing, toes tapping, with a voice that echoes like Johnny Cash or Hank Williams. When Hank sings I’m so lonesome I could cry you can feel just exactly what he was going through and my folk rock/country rock songs will put you right in that space. You’ll enjoy your drink a little more, feel a little more satisfied with livin’, and be reminded of the good and bad you’ve been through.” – Andy Matteo
