Shaniqua Lottihall, stage name Niqua, a.k.a. The Lipstick Bandit, a 29-year-old rap artist, originally from Brooklyn, New York, and a mother of one, fell in love with music at the age of 10. She recalls watching music videos and listening to her then musical inspiration, Aaliyah; as well as watching the BET awards each year with her family. She has also been inspired by other artists such as Missy Elliot, Eve, and Lauryn Hill. While signed to Bentley Records, an independent label based in Manhattan, NY, she enjoys creating music to help empower women, as well as helping them to recognize and embrace their confidence and sense of self-worth.
