Project Grand Slam (PGS), the celebrated NYC-based Jazz Rock Fusion band with a twist of Classic Rock and Latin, announces the release of a dynamic, new Introductory Video, plus new performance dates.
Led by acclaimed bassist/composer Robert Miller, PGS has accumulated over one million video views while defying genres, languages and geographic boundaries. The band has wowed audiences from Jazz to Rock, from Millennials to Baby Boomers, at numerous festivals and performing arts centers, while cultivating a fervent worldwide fan base.
The band’s new video – Introducing Project Grand Slam! – shows off the group’s bold and dynamic performance in concert.
PGS’s upcoming performance schedule includes openers for artists as diverse as Edgar Winter (3/9 at the Paramount in Peekskill, NY) and Boney James (4/11 at the Count Basie Theater in Redbank, NJ and 4/12 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ). PGS has previously opened for artists such as Blues Traveler, YES, Mindi Abair and Boney James.
PGS will be performing in a number of festivals this year including the Nisville Jazz Festival in Serbia on Aug. 11th. In 2017 the band performed in four international festivals.
In April PGS will record a new album of songs written by Robert, for a projected fall release. The new songs are diverse and continue to drive the line between rock and jazz unlike any other artist. This follows the release in 2017 of the band’s 5th album, “The PGS Experience”, which was called a “Best of 2017” by The MacWire and a “Must Know About” album by Jazziz Magazine.
