The electronic producer and classical instrumentalist, Michael O’Brien, known by his stage name ‘MaiKu’, hails from Salford in Manchester, UK.

MaiKu has been producing and writing songs for several years; a specialist in electronic, acoustic engineering and creative wave-shaping, MaiKu cuts soulful roots and philosophy with vibrant editing techniques.
In 2015, MaiKu created the label ‘Queasy Limbo Records’ with Remain Nameless (Derby Hip-Hop producer); who are both involved with the dance project ‘Kanuko’, and released his debut EP “Ology” in early 2016.
MaiKu followed this up with an electronic/blues crossover “Malversation” in a collaboration with fellow Mancunian Jim Adama, succeeded by the psychedelic, pacific pop of ‘Mana’ featuring vocals from Jemimah Canegrati.
