Gabrielle Solange is a Top 200 Billboard charting singer, songwriter, producer, TEDx speaker, and creative coach. Her refreshingly vulnerable storytelling has enabled her to connect with diverse audiences on controversial issues locally and abroad. And while she loves to have fun on stage, she mostly sees entertainment as a method to heal, educate, and empower. Her song “Quarantine Anthem” was created right as the first quarantine orders rolled out in 2020.
In the midst of global hysteria and uncertainty, Gabrielle wrote and produced lyrics and music addressing the loneliness, confusion, and despair while highlighting power of community and creativity – recruiting artists and entrepreneurs from around the world to submit footage of themselves doing their passion during the lockdown. This past year, she has been featured on Fox28, ABC6, Channel 10 and in The Columbus Dispatch for music and amazing work in the community.
She has been blazing a trail using her voice while teaching the next generation to use theirs, working as a vocal coach to private students, and hosting creative workshops for schools and organizations through her company RunSong Studios. Her most proud moment is being awarded the Key to the City of Columbus, Ohio for her contribution to youth arts.
More recently, her homemade music video for a Spanglish version of “I Dare You,” featuring footage of her city’s anti-police brutality protest was selected by Kelly Clarkson as 1st place winner of a Cover Nation contest. Her latest music video is a fun and quirky A Capella version of Why Don’t We’s “Fallen.” It has soared to over 29,000 views on Youtube.
