Marcell Holmes otherwise known as “Cell, Ghet Em!” First became addicted to hip hop as a youngster growing up on the south shore of Long Island. Amityville, to be exact; he eye-witnessed his older brother Michael who was a DJ at the time. One individual stated that when Marcell watched his older brother Mike scratching and back spinning Vinyl he lost his mind! Well…not literally but, the juices were flowing. His love for music is said to be like a young man in school and his professors were; Krs One, Rakim, Epmd, Dr Dre, Snoop Dog, Dj Premier and Guru.
When he heard Pete Rock and Cl Smooth, he purchased turntables and that long journey began. It is believed that he is able to hear sounds and samples within music that most people can’t. Presently, living in Seattle, Washington he still makes his own instrumentals and works with AnnoDominiNation and Legion. His love for music can be felt, if you “just listen!”
