Chris Daytona is emerging with a sound that refuses to remain confined to traditional genre boundaries. Through SupertrapNB, he blends polished R&B melodies with the atmospheric, wavy production of Supertrap. RageNB introduces another dimension, placing expressive vocals against the intensity of contemporary rage production. Influenced by artists ranging from Michael Jackson and Chris Brown to Drake, Young Thug, and Jay Park, Daytona draws from a remarkably broad musical lineage. His approach suggests a future where melody, rap, R&B, and experimental production can coexist naturally.
Chris Daytona is an emerging hip-hop and R&B artist demonstrating generational talent. He is currently locked in on pushing the growing hip-hop subgenre Jumpstyle Rap (also known as Trapstyle, which has grown in popularity via artists like Rocket Reese) while making notable advancements to a newly developed sound he calls SupertrapNB (RnB Super Trap).
In building this sound, Daytona pays respect to the pioneers who laid the groundwork for Supertrap – including innovators like Grim Brxzy, Redda, DX, JodyB, and other core members of the HiTek Group collective. Building upon that foundation, Daytona takes the sound in a new direction. Just as Bryson Tiller made history with TrapSoul, Chris Daytona is creating a wave of his own by pairing strong, emotive R&B vocal performances with wavy, futuristic Supertrap production. Beyond SupertrapNB, Daytona also delivers pristine vocal performances over high-energy rage beats – a style highlighted by the hip-hop community as RageNB (Rage RnB).
Growing up, Daytona drew vocal and stylistic influence from an eclectic mix of icons, including Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, Young Thug, and Jay Park.

“Melodic rap was heavily criticized at first before it grew in popularity. Peers didn’t understand the sound, but seeing artists like Drake, Tory Lanez, and Jay Park execute the style perfectly proved it was possible to bridge both worlds. Melodies create the catchiness needed in a commercial sense, and many melodic superstars have emerged because of this.” – Chris Daytona
While Daytona is constantly pushing boundaries and evolving the culture, he retains a deep respect for the core foundation of hip-hop. Alongside his futuristic blends, Daytona will regularly showcase classic rap ability, traditional boom-bap flows, and refined lyrical dexterity. By honoring the genre’s heritage while pioneering new lanes like SupertrapNB and RageNB, Chris Daytona is positioning himself at the forefront of hip-hop’s next major shift.
