Donny Richmond – A Creative Genius who remain true to his core beliefs

Donny Richmond makes a career of expanding the borders of what it means to be a performer. All the while, he seeks to remain true to his core beliefs, and the faith that sustains him. Donny’s latest international single release, “A Satisfied Mind”, is a step back in time – an intriguing remake of the #1 Porter Wagoner hit of the 1950’s, written by Jack Rhodes and Joe Hayes. The late, great Porter Wagoner was the host for Donny’s initial appearance on The Grand Ole Opry in 1997. And Donny is a longtime admirer of Porter’s laid back style. As

Stellar Lane: “Reflection” bridges the gap between true grit and pure emotion

Lead singers and siblings Jonathan and Udi Vogelsang formed the alternative rock back Stellar Lane based in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The brothers who have been playing and composing music for years are heavily influenced by Seattle’s Grunge era, hence their music has a nineties flavor, without however, losing its modern indie and alternative elements. Having two lead-singers allows Stellar Lane to give an energetic and diverse performance which has conquered many stages. The band has already toured North-America and Europe including shows at the Canadian Music Week festival (Toronto, Canada) and Deichbrand festival (Bremerhaven, Germany) which gained interest in local radio

Fenix: “All Around The World” ft. Chris Casino contains the essential ingredients of a pop confection

Alexander Mamonov rose through the sporting ranks in his home country of Russia, eventually landing squarely in Russia’s Youth Olympic volleyball team.  A self-professed hip-hop and classic rock enthusiast, Manomov had a strong attraction towards music and was quickly drawn into the electronic sphere after frequenting the Moscow club scene. In 2004 his moniker DJ Fenix started off his career and began sharpening his skills and building his network. A collaboration with the UK dance duo led to his debut single “I Believe” which achieved mainstream success in various countries, including the U.S., Australia, Germany and the UK. Fenix’s career

Robot Raven: “Life Goes On” – relationships and its attached emotions

With “Life Goes On”, Robot Raven’s latest album, it’s tempting to zoom in on any single turning point in the duo’s timeline to figure out how they made it here. The obvious choices are “Greatest Hits, Part One”, and then “Greatest Hits, Part Two”, containing 36 of their best tracks, and released before any other album or single.  John Rigg (singer, instrumentalist and producer) and Edmond Bruneau (lyricist), have a habit of doing things in an odd manner, which perfectly matches their eclectic characters anyway.  Rigg creates robot machines and is reputed to have the world’s largest museum dedicated to toy and

“Sunshine” – Artem Cithara (ft. Nicole Elizabeth & Slick Sax) conjures immediate and unflinching imagery

The scene opens to the midnight skyline of a neon city while Slick Sax’s saxophone blows like a whirling cool breeze through the balmy summer air, muting the buzzing fluorescent signs that clamor for attention. All the while, Nicole Elizabeth’s breathy vocals murmur and soar above the four-to-the-floor piano-driven beat on the stunning new feel-good single release from Artem Cithara, entitled “Sunshine”. The track is an appropriate composition from a mysterious artist, songwriter and producer whose only goal is to be taken seriously–not only as an EDM icon, but in the context of finer arts. While much of the electronic music

Sarantos: “Why Ask Why” – uniformly excellent throughout

In a sense, Sarantos is as much a realist as he is a romantic; his best songs are about fearing the worst, hoping for the best, and getting lucky sometimes. His best songs are also about three or four minutes long and loaded with licks and melodies befitting of a great singer-songwriter reared on the musical legends of our time. All of those influences coalesce on “Why Ask Why”, a tight, spirited rock track.  Purely as sound, this track unquestionably succeeds; though AOR is basically a primary color of modern pop at this point, Sarantos’ vocals and lyrical tics are

Boy in the Rain: “Wave” – a fine assemblage of piano mastery

Boy in the Rain is a composer and solo artist. His style draws heavily from classical and romantic periods, stemming from the traditional piano studies of his youth, but incorporates modern styles into a unique contemporary fashion.  His latest album, “Wave,” is a collection of original piano solos. The piano has a chief interest of exploration for many composers. Through the history of music we can even certify the following: static discoveries and dynamic ones. Bartok, for example, in many of his solo piano pieces is always certain when to use an incomplete chord, which register and which inversion to

“My Way”: Juvahn Victoria resembles the kind of upcoming artist we need more of!

Juvahn Victoria is a singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Her style is anchored in Alternative R&B and Soul. You can always tell when an artist throws out a record just to say they have arrived and have something new out…“My Way” by Juvahn Victoria is definitely not that type of single. She has a world of singing talent and breathes feeling and life into this song.

Juvahn Victoria

Juvahn Victoria

“My Way” is a sweetly endearing ballad that glides along a lush, melodic urban beat, and Juvahn finds the emotion and serenity from note to note to make you feel the ease of the song flowing in your mind and through your heart. While Juvahn’s rise to the top may be just starting out, it is refreshing to hear a vocalist who exudes such honesty, sex appeal, attitude, and soul all while churning out great music.

Juvahn Victoria’s voice has an inflection that will identify with the everyday person that may be in love or may be recovering from a broken relationship. That is what makes her different from many other Soul, Pop or R&B female singers today. Oftentimes it is not just the power of the voice, but the nuances and inflections the singer is able to express, which captures the ear of the listener – something which Juvahn excels in. I would imagine that she has perfected her vocal craft since performing at Jazz and Speakeasy clubs around Australia.

Juvahn, who is currently working on her EP – to be entitled “Bullet”, with Producer Divy Pota – resembles the kind of upcoming artist we need more of. Although slickly produced and well-written, the single is first and foremost about the quality of Juvahn’s voice and performance. This songstress has a silky set of pipes on her, which she uses to amazing effect on “My Way”.

Juvahn Victoria’s rendition of this power ballad is like a gentle blow to the solar plexus, just hard enough to grab your attention and delicate enough to make you feel the unbridled joy of love, and the devastating effects of its possible betrayal in the same breath. Merely hearing the first minute of this song was enough to convince to me that the combination of Juvahn’s voice, the songwriting, and the superb production shows that soon she is going to have to be taken seriously within the industry and by music fans alike. Juvahn Victoria is beautiful, she is real, and every lyric she sings is with such depth you will feel every emotion!
