DaKing – “CryptoBoom” is a vibe from start to finish!

“CryptoBoom” is the second single by Moscow artist DaKing who is currently working on album which will feature previously unheard of 3D stereo effects. As can be gaged by the title, the song is inspired by escalation of cryptocurrencies. DaKing falls into the category of nu-wave rappers. You can hear a bit of his flow, hooks, and ad-lib driven rap style in the music of today’s newest up and comers. DaKing verses have a way of feeling like extended hooks. He loves to chant as his ad-libs swirl in the background. Sometimes he even delivers a rapid-fire flow. The project

Haze Daze – “Shadows” is rich and inviting!

Self-awareness is key, and Haze Daze getting in touch with that allows him to separate himself from the pack, reaching territory where only a handful others reside. But of course his latest track, “Shadows” is also the embodiment of the current culture. The song is the unification of the SoundCloud elite sound and the figures who came directly before, it’s an embracement of that short but rich history. Knowing your strengths or limitations is a skill that few have. Haze Daze on “Shadows”, is not only able to avoid any potential limits, but also accentuate his strengths. The track is

Lyt Lyfe Presents The Official Video for the Single “10-4” by CHANGE

The music is booming and hard-edged “10-4”until it’s suddenly dulcet and sweeping, matching the fury and then tenderness with which Change performs throughout. The shift in tone doesn’t feel jarring, but instead like it was building up to that the entire time, a testament to how dynamic and complex the production is. It creates an anthemic, banging experience that is just as important as the words rapped. Hip-hop music, with its lack of filter and abrasive nature, has always been a vehicle by which men who uphold a veneer of toughness and masculine bravado can share their feelings. Part of

Amadi Jae: “Lonely Nights, Late Mornings” sneaks around the edges of your subconscious!

Born in Westchester, NY, the self-proclaimed “Retrolite” Amada Jae, fell in love with music and the arts at a young age when discovering the cello. In the mist of her growth as a cellist her family relocated numerous times moving from Norwalk, CT to Accra, Ghana (West Africa). This drastic move enhanced her love for music and other cultures. At the age of 8, Amadi would become the youngest to be invited to play with the national Orchestra of Ghana. Three years later, she returned to the United States and resided in Charlotte, NC. This would be the defining moment in the direction of the budding artist.

Dealing with her abrupt departure from Ghana, Amadi Jae turned to the world that she had created as a child for healing and escape. She began to write songs and discovered her ability to sing. Amadi was able to nurture her new talent and develop a unique sound that is purely her own.  Amadi Jae has teamed up with VJ Music/ Sony Orchard to release her latest single “Lonely Nights, Late Mornings”, produced by Nagib Hawk. This follows the release of her previous tracks “Dreams” and “Circles” also produced by Hawk.

If you’re tired of all those divas who think singing is how loud, high and long they can extend a note, or bored with song after song that say the same thing and say nothing at all, and concerned that the prerequisite for female music stardom these days depends more on the ability to wear the least amount of clothing and twerk for the longest time, then welcome to the world of real music from a real woman.

Amadi Jae’s track “Lonely Nights, Late Mornings”, will steamroll those outdated musical misconceptions right out of the door. This is a track that sneaks around the edges of your subconscious rather than strikes you in the face. Despite the fact that there are no corny hooks or last-minute rapping features embedded to ‘enhance’ potential sales, you’ll find yourself humming this tune for months.

How does Amadi Jae imbue her songs with such emotion, power and world-weariness? Well let’s start by saying that her voice does not even belong in this millennium. She seems to come from another era. Her vocal styling is reminiscent of the great female voices from the past – those voices that they just don’t make anymore.

It gives her that sassy, funky feel which captures your attention from the first listen. But it doesn’t end there. Several vocal elements combine to make “Lonely Nights, Late Mornings” an interesting and unique sounding song – Amadi’s intonation which has a southern lilt, and her phrasing and timing which are seriously African-influenced.

“Lonely Nights, Late Mornings” is definitely a contender for being a hit – it has a strong melody, lyrics that make sense, and an emotional center that most people can relate to. This is a story about love, lost love, betrayal, surviving and not being able to really let go. When you listen to it, something will happen to you.

The voice, lyric, music production, and sound engineering on this track are outstanding. And Amadi does more than just carry the tune. She communicates feeling; she communicates thought. She uses her voice to convey meaning and depth. Amadi Jae’s voice is a poignant, mature instrument!
