In the brand new single from MERLIN entitled “Code Blue,” there is a sense of familiarity as she welcomes the listener with a smooth, captivating melody followed by a love-tinged beat. It ushers in an array of emotions as the song travels through a whirling punch of electronic force, leaving behind the distinguished mark of a model pop song. MERLIN’s vocals aren’t overwhelmed by the production, but rather enhanced and engulfed in a radiating light.
The thumping electro-drums that dance throughout the track is the center of gravity that the rest of the song revolves around. There is something to be said for MERLIN’s edgy vocals combined with vibrant pop flair to create the perfect summer anthem. The electro-pop vibe of “Code Blue” is ideal for those who simply want to dance to the beat of their own drum and recognize their worth, while celebrating themselves as individuals.
