Ukrainian teen queen YALLA has released a music video for her new hit, which has every chance of becoming the soundtrack of this fall. The young star created a video illustrating what millions of girls across the country experience: “In this video, I tried to show how everything inside you trembles. You change with his breath, touch, and smile. When you’re waiting for his message or a meeting. When that special ‘chemistry’ between lovers arises. On one hand, I showed just myself, and on the other — I was fulfilling the director’s vision,” the artist shared about working on the new video.
The video is a continuation of YALLA’s previous hit “Fool,” which gained popularity on TikTok, Ukrainian radio, and playlists on Spotify, and continues its organic growth in the charts. The single “ТИ і Я” (YOU and I) leads up to the singer’s upcoming EP “Last Online,” which is set to release soon. The album will further explore the artist’s method of singing only about what she has personally experienced. YALLA expresses her emotions and experiences through music, sharing them with her audience, creating a shared therapeutic effect.
This work is likely for girls: “It’s exactly about when you love and believe in that love. You give it that second chance, you become ‘medicine’ for each other, and constantly think, ‘I love you as much as you love me, madly,'” the artist explained.
Recording the single “YOU and I” and filming the music video was the most challenging experience for YALLA, both emotionally and musically, which is immediately felt. “I’m not going to lie, filming this video was hard. I had to convey all the feelings and emotions that the song talks about. I dug deep into myself and remembered my own fights, my troubles, and everything bad that happened with my ex…” the star shared.
YALLA emphasizes that this video story isn’t only about pain and negativity. It’s about what relationships have given us, even those that didn’t follow the best script. The heroine of the video, like the artist herself in real life, strives to remember only the good and to carry love in her heart, even if it has ended.
“I want to dedicate this work to all those in love, who believe in this bright feeling, no matter what. I want to show that love can happen at any age. Because love doesn’t need an age. I want couples to say to each other, ‘I love you, and you love me too, and even madly,'” YALLA said.
