Made To Be Broken Records proudly announces the debut album “8” from AZVL, an innovative AI-assisted music project created and produced by MOИK. Set for release worldwide on August 8, 2026, “8” is a sixteen-track concept album exploring death, love, transformation, and infinity through the voice of AZVL, a female Angel of Death inspired by the Santa Muerte Azul tradition in Latin American folk spirituality.

Inspired by Santa Muerte Azul, the blue aspect of Santa Muerte associated with empathy, healing, reconciliation, and compassionate guidance, AZVL presents death not as something to fear, but as witness, guide, and truth. Through her voice, listeners are invited to the threshold between worlds, where endings are not cruel, but necessary.

The album combines industrial rock, nu-metal, deep dubstep bass, reggae-infused boom bap rhythms, and dark electronic production to create a sound that is both cinematic and intensely personal. Structured as eight songs in English and eight companion tracks in Spanish, “8” was designed to connect with audiences across North and Latin America. Early critical response has been overwhelmingly positive.

AZVL was developed by MOИK, a Los Angeles-based visual artist, producer, and founder of Made To Be Broken Records. Following the loss of his younger brother to suicide in the aftermath of the COVID era, MOИK embarked on a period of deep reflection and creative transformation. For a year, he worked in death care, transporting the deceased for one of the largest funeral home organizations in North America. That firsthand experience with grief, mortality, and the rituals surrounding death profoundly shaped the mythology and emotional core of “8”. Drawing on his background in visual effects, graphic design, and music production, MOИK set aside his own recording career to launch AZVL, a fully realized artistic universe where technology, spirituality, and human emotion converge.

The album opens with “INITI8,” an atmospheric invocation in which AZVL introduces listeners with a defining statement: “Do not be afraid. I am not your enemy. I am the Angel of Death.” The first two singles, “CIRCUL8” and “TERMIN8,” showcase the album’s dynamic range, from hypnotic meditations on time and mortality to explosive industrial bass anthems. Through “8”, AZVL invites audiences to reconsider death not as an ending, but as a transformation and a return to infinity.
