Whitney Lusk is a homegrown Country Artist from Utah. From the age of 3 she has been belting out every song she learns. From the age of 8, she has been vocally trained by industry professionals. At the age of 14 Whitney performed with a national country cover band who opened at music festivals for major artists, such as Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes, and Billy Currington.
At age 16 Whitney took on the stage herself with her own music and opened for the Country Duo Maddie & Tae. Since then she has opened for YouTube sensation Andie Case with a sold out show in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has been featured on several Utah Radio Stations for being one of Utah’s up-and-coming singers.
Whitney released her first EP, self-titled “Whitney Lusk,” in 2015 that received national recognition for her song, “I Wanna Know,” which was used in the movie “A Light In The Woods,” produced by K. Vernon Castleton. The movie premiered at the World Premiere LDS Film Festival in 2014 and won two awards by the UFF.
Her single “Dark Side” gained her an exclusive interview with www.popwrapped.com. Whitney has traveled to L.A. and attended a workshop where she worked with top industry artists, Colbie Caillat, John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls, and Aisha Francis.
Whitney’s original Song “Picasso” won her a trip to Nashville where she wrote with top industry singer-songwriters on Music Row and performed at the famous Bluebird Café.
Whitney’s new album “Who I Am” undoubtedly describes her as an artist. She exhibits her true musical talent and will connect with you through her meaningful lyrics and powerful voice. “I’m Better Off” won American Songwriting Awards “Best Country Song” 2017 and “Heavens Got a Good One” won Hollywood Songwriting Awards “Best Country Song” 2017.
2018 Whitney showcased her new music by opening for “Josh Turner” and “He Is We”. Both sold out shows in Utah. Not only did this gain Whitney a bigger fan base and allowed her to soar as a country artist, she realized this is what she was meant to do.
Whitney has focused her career on writing her own music. From deep emotional ballads to inspiring anthem songs you need to take note of this new country voice. This girl has pipes!
